Mercie’s career began in 2007, when she discovered her passion for massage therapy as a way to bring balance, relaxation, and healing to others. By 2009, her commitment and expertise earned her recognition as a certified massage therapy trainer and assessor with TESDA, where she began nurturing the next generation of therapists. Through training and mentoring, she not only shared her technical skills but also instilled the values of professionalism and compassion that define true healers.
Her journey then took her abroad, where she worked until 2016, gaining valuable exposure to diverse clients and therapeutic practices. These experiences deepened her understanding of global approaches to wellness and enriched her own massage techniques. After a few years away from the field, Mercie experienced a powerful calling that reignited her passion in 2023. She returned to massage therapy with a renewed sense of purpose one that transcended just a profession and became a lifelong mission.
In December 2024, Mercie achieved another milestone, becoming a licensed massage therapist under the Department of Health (DOH). This official recognition cemented her commitment to professional excellence, safety, and the highest standards of practice in her craft.
Today, Mercie is a co-owner of Nueve Massage and Spa, where she continues her dual role as both therapist and trainer.
