Company Rules and Regulations
Introduction
World Massage Association Singapore Pte. Ltd. (WMAS) is committed to promoting professionalism, integrity, excellence, education, cultural exchange, and international cooperation within the global massage and wellness industry.
These Rules and Regulations are established to ensure that all members, participants, judges, instructors, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, guests, and business partners conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner.
All individuals participating in any activity organized, managed, or endorsed by WMAS are required to comply with these Rules and Regulations at all times.
1. General Conduct
All persons associated with WMAS shall:
- Act with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
- Treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
- Promote a positive image of the massage and wellness profession.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
- Respect cultural diversity and international differences.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and venue requirements.
Any conduct that may damage the reputation of WMAS, its partners, sponsors, or participants may result in disciplinary action.
2. Professional Ethics
WMAS expects all members and participants to maintain the highest ethical standards.
Individuals shall:
- Conduct themselves professionally at all times.
- Respect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Provide truthful and accurate information.
- Avoid misleading claims regarding qualifications, certifications, or experience.
- Refrain from unethical business practices.
- Demonstrate fairness and impartiality in professional activities.
Any form of fraud, deception, or misrepresentation is strictly prohibited.
3. Anti-Harassment Policy
WMAS maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding:
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Discrimination
- Intimidation
- Verbal abuse
- Physical abuse
- Sexual harassment
- Threatening behavior
These behaviors are prohibited regardless of race, nationality, gender, age, disability, language, religion, or professional background.
Individuals found engaging in such conduct may be removed from events and permanently banned from future participation.
4. Membership Regulations
All WMAS members are required to:
- Maintain accurate membership records.
- Pay membership fees within designated deadlines.
- Comply with WMAS policies and standards.
- Participate responsibly in association activities.
- Protect the reputation and interests of the association.
Membership privileges may be suspended or revoked for violations of company regulations.
5. Event Participation Rules
Participants attending any WMAS event must:
- Register through official channels.
- Display official identification when required.
- Follow event schedules and instructions.
- Respect event staff, judges, volunteers, and fellow participants.
- Comply with venue regulations and safety requirements.
Late arrivals, disruptive behavior, or failure to follow instructions may result in restricted participation.
6. Competition Rules and Regulations
Participants in WMAS competitions shall:
- Follow all official competition guidelines.
- Compete fairly and honestly.
- Respect judges' decisions.
- Maintain professional conduct throughout the competition.
- Avoid any actions that may interfere with the judging process.
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Cheating
- Falsification of credentials
- Bribery
- Manipulation of scoring systems
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Disrespect toward judges or competitors
WMAS reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates competition regulations.
7. Judges Code of Conduct
Judges appointed by WMAS must:
- Demonstrate impartiality and fairness.
- Evaluate participants objectively.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding scoring.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Refrain from favoritism or bias.
Judges must not:
- Accept gifts, incentives, or favors that may influence decisions.
- Share confidential scoring information.
- Engage in inappropriate relationships affecting professional judgment.
Failure to comply may result in removal from judging responsibilities.
8. Workshop and Training Regulations
Participants attending workshops, seminars, and training programs shall:
- Arrive on time.
- Participate respectfully.
- Follow instructor guidance.
- Use equipment responsibly.
- Maintain professional behavior.
Disruptive conduct that interferes with learning may result in removal from the session.
9. Venue and Facility Regulations
All attendees must:
- Respect venue property.
- Maintain cleanliness.
- Dispose of waste properly.
- Follow emergency procedures.
- Observe venue safety regulations.
Participants are responsible for any damage caused through negligence or misconduct.
WMAS reserves the right to recover costs associated with damages.
10. Health and Safety Requirements
The safety of all participants remains a priority.
Individuals shall:
- Follow health and safety instructions.
- Report hazards immediately.
- Use equipment appropriately.
- Maintain proper hygiene standards.
- Inform organizers of any medical concerns affecting participation.
Participants who appear unfit to participate safely may be restricted from activities.
11. Dress Code Requirements
Participants, judges, instructors, and staff shall maintain a professional appearance.
Appropriate attire includes:
- Professional uniforms
- Massage therapy attire
- Event-approved clothing
- Business or formal attire where required
The following may be prohibited:
- Offensive clothing
- Inappropriate slogans
- Excessively revealing attire
- Unsafe footwear
WMAS reserves the right to enforce dress code standards.
12. Photography, Recording, and Media
Participants acknowledge that:
- Events may be photographed or recorded.
- Promotional materials may be produced by WMAS.
- Media coverage may occur during events.
Unauthorized commercial recording, broadcasting, or distribution of event content may be restricted.
Participants must respect intellectual property rights and media guidelines.
13. Sponsorship and Exhibition Regulations
Sponsors and exhibitors must:
- Operate within designated exhibition areas.
- Follow event schedules.
- Comply with venue requirements.
- Present products and services professionally.
Prohibited activities include:
- Misleading advertising
- Offensive displays
- Unauthorized sales activities
- Disruptive promotional behavior
WMAS reserves the right to remove non-compliant exhibitors.
14. Social Media and Public Communications
Participants are encouraged to promote professionalism online.
Individuals shall not:
- Publish false information regarding WMAS.
- Defame participants, judges, sponsors, or organizers.
- Share confidential information.
- Use WMAS branding without authorization.
Responsible and respectful communication is expected at all times.
15. Intellectual Property Protection
All WMAS materials, including:
- Logos
- Trademarks
- Competition formats
- Educational resources
- Publications
- Photographs
- Videos
remain the property of World Massage Association Singapore Pte. Ltd.
Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited without written permission.
16. Disciplinary Actions
Violations of these Rules and Regulations may result in:
- Verbal warning
- Written warning
- Temporary suspension
- Event removal
- Competition disqualification
- Membership termination
- Permanent participation ban
The severity of disciplinary measures will depend on the nature of the violation.
17. Complaint and Dispute Resolution
Individuals may submit complaints through official WMAS channels.
All complaints shall:
- Be submitted respectfully.
- Include relevant evidence where applicable.
- Be reviewed fairly and confidentially.
WMAS reserves the right to conduct investigations and make final determinations regarding disputes.
18. Amendments and Updates
WMAS reserves the right to revise, modify, or update these Rules and Regulations at any time.
Updated versions shall become effective upon publication through official communication channels.
Participants are responsible for reviewing the latest version before participating in any WMAS activity.
19. Compliance Declaration
By registering for, attending, participating in, sponsoring, exhibiting at, or engaging with any program, competition, workshop, event, or service organized by World Massage Association Singapore Pte. Ltd., individuals acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Rules and Regulations.
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, suspension, disqualification, or termination of participation privileges.
